Brad and his crew have been awesome to deal with! Had a small hiccup when I picked up my order and he went above and beyond to make it right. His shop looked spotless, the turn around time was quick, and the meat was nicely packaged! I plan on taking more deer to him!
Maxwell Meats is fulfilling a need for local farmers who were looking to process their livestock close to home. Indiana processors are scheduling 18-24 months out and farmers are having to drive out of state for their processing needs. The vision began this time last year and partnership began after being introduced to Brad Gruell a.k.a. Brad the Butcher who was looking to butcher locally and run his own Butcher Retail and Processing Facility.
We have already started scheduling farmers wanting to process their animals and the calendar is filling up!
Our State Inspected and soon to be USDA Inspected State-of-the Art Butchering Facility (6,145 SQ. FT.) will employee around 40 full and part time people. We have the capacity to do custom processing 25 Beef/week and 40 Hogs/week.
Our retail space (2,144 SQ. FT) will serve daily butchered meats to throw on the BBQ as well as freshly frozen meats to stock you up for a zombie apocalypse! We will also be carrying Boar’s Head Deli meats and providing freshly made to order sandwiches, catering trays and grab and go deli selections.
